Tactics and Procedures Trainer (TPT)

A Tactics and Procedures Trainer (TPT) can be used to provide most of the core training elements to pilots, or off-load training tasks from a Full Mission Simulator (FMS). A TPT is usually a fixed-base trainer that does not include a motion base system but uses similar flight management and control systems capabilities as a full-up simulator.

Our most current TPT products include an A-1 TPT (Tactical Procedures Trainer) Batch 1 and Batch 2. Both trainers can be modified to the specifications of the customer.

Compro's F-16 TPT's have been developed for Block 15, 25, 30, 40/42, 50/52 configurations. Our TPT's support training in emergency procedures, instrument flight and air-to-air and air-to-ground combat training within a dense threat environment. In addition, pilots are able to practice acquiring and identifying targets and accurately delivering weapons under a full range of weather conditions at any time of day.

A PTT is ideal for pilot familiarization, mission rehearsal, and most flight operations to include:

  • Air-to-air and Air-to-ground radar and weapon systems training.
  • Attack training, with various weapon types (missiles, guns, bombs, rockets and guided weapons).
  • Navigation training using enhanced outside world graphic presentation, enabling pilots to fly along routes, identify ground objects and perform navigation system updates.
  • Navigation systems such as GPS or INS are available at several levels of fidelity.
  • Instruments flight training enabling pilots to perform IFR missions in poor visibility and approaches using ILS, TACAN or any other NAVAIDS which may be required.
  • Option for independent pilot/user operation without technicians or instructors intervention.
  • High Fidelity cockpit replicas using simulated or glass instruments giving the pilot realistic training environment.
  • Full systems integration with actual radar, RWR, weapon systems and tactical environment simulation.
  • User friendly tools for combat scenario development, in accordance with Air Force doctrine and training objectives.
  • Full debriefing capabilities including data storage, playback and analysis functions.
  • Sophisticated real time scoring mechanism.
  • Realistic audio signals including engines, rotors, missile seeker tones, missile launch, RWR warnings and any other necessary sounds.
  • Dynamic tactical scenarios incorporating various air-to-air and surface-to-air threats.
  • CST trainers may be connected over a network locally or remotely enabling pilots to team up in various combat situations.
  • Fully integrated advanced avionics and sensors like MFCD, FLIR and RADAR including Laser, and IR.
